Accredited Online MBA ProgramsPosted: 1/11/2007 by Staff In order to find the best possible online MBA program, the prospective student needs to do some homework. After all, if you are going to spend the time, money and effort in furthering your education to include an MBA degree and you have chosen to go the route of online learning, you want your degree to be worth something once your coursework is completed. The time to determine the value of the final Masters of Business Administration degree is before you start the program. There are several ways you can use to check the accreditation of the business school. First, look for official accreditation for the school. Most business schools, whether online or bricks and mortar will proudly flaunt any accreditation which they may have earned over the years from official accreditation service organizations. In addition, you can look for unofficial accreditation in the rankings of various types conducted by most business magazines. There are also rankings lists easily found on the internet. One example is the Business Week MBA Programs 2006 – Rankings and Profiles from Around the World. Tools such as the Business Week rankings allow a prospective student to learn much about the value of the program he is considering before making the decision about which business school to attend. Another type of accreditation, or more properly validation of the online MBA program is by looking at the experience of graduates of the specific program in the business world. This information may be a bit more difficult to obtain, but is still available and should be an important component of the decision of which school offers the highest accreditation for its online MBA program. |
