Executive MBA DegreePosted: 1/15/2007 by Staff The executive MBA degree which is being offered by more and more accredited business schools is intended for busy executives. Typically the MBA program is intended for those people who are already somewhat settled in their career choices and are prepared to make the needed commitment of time, money and other resources in order to boost the earning potential. The Executive MBA program speaks to those people and to those who have already attained executive status but seek to better themselves by being on the cutting edge of knowledge, techniques and understanding through additional formal education. In the past, the executives of a business have often been too busy running the company or organization to be bothered with going back to school. Now, by taking advantage of the executive MBA degree, the progress toward the graduate degree is built around the schedule of the executive. Executive MBA programs are appearing in a number of different formats. They may be online. They may be scheduled as distance learning. They may be offered as weekend or evening courses or they may be scheduled as periodic one to two week comprehensive courses. Executives who wish to apply for these specialized MBA programs will receive course material geared toward those in leadership roles. These MBA-seeking executives are more likely to be accepted into the programs, because they've already proved they have the ability to master the material of the courses. They have already achieved a measure of success in their chosen field. This makes them very desirable to the MBA programs who definitely want to provide the degree to people who can and will succeed. Not only does it help the student, it makes the school look good as well. |
